Over the years, Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple has grown from the humble beginning of operating from a wooden house to what it is today by treading cautiously and upholding its four great aspirations of charity, medical, culture and education.

Avatamsaka-sūtra mentioned that all those almsgivers will eventually be rewarded. If one gives and hopes for happiness, one will eventually be rewarded with happiness.

The meaning of this verse in the sutra means that if one sows good seed one shall harvest good fruits. Benevolent philanthropists who have vowed to give will eventually be rewarded with the benefits, peace and happiness without having to consciously seek them.

Almsgiving has limitless merits. We are happy to wish all almsgivers long lasting wealth, prosperity and health.
