2011 – Sau Seng Lum Inner Bliss Sanctuary

From the biological point of view, illnesses are caused by imbalances of energy within the body. Happiness, love and peace are vital to promote the balance in energy. The ground breaking ceremony was conducted on 1st January 2011 to build a sanctuary filled with positive energy.

2011 – Earth Store Bell

Sau Seng Lum installed the Earth Store Bell in 2011. The Earth Store Bell is inscribed with Kṣitigarbha-bodhisattva-pūrva-praṇidhāna Sūtra or Sutra of the Fundamental Vows of the Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha.

The sutra describes the journey of birth, old age, sickness and death that each and every sentient beings has to go through and tells of how Kṣitigarbha became a bodhisattva by making great vows to rescue other sentient beings. It is also mentioned in the Sutra that one can gain twenty eight benefits by listening, chanting, worshiping, praising, or salutation to the Sutra. The Sutra also expounds at length the retributions of unwholesome karma, descriptions of hells and the benefits of good merit both great and small.

2011– 9.9 meter of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva

Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva statue stands solemnly at a height of 9.9 meters inside the Sau Seng Lum temple. This bronze statue was custom-made at Jiuhua Mountain in China and it took the local skilled craftsmen three years to finally complete the statue before it was able to be shipped to the temple.

On 13th July 2011, this 30 feet magnificent Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva statue was initiated. On this day, Rev. Chang Heng vowed to hold a month-long Ullambana Puja each and every year. In the blink of an eye, thirty years have gone by since. It is with the hope that more people will follow the teachings of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva to make great vows to rescue other sentient beings, to worship with sincerity and to respect Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva.

2013 –Share Share Love – Sau Seng Lum World Children Care Foundation

Sau Seng Lum has launched the Sau Seng Lum World Children Care Foundation on 24th May 2013 in order to support the unfortunate children. The fund raised is used to provide education opportunities, medical services and better environment to the children.

This foundation was launched during a gala dinner on 8th Febuary 2014, which the YB Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, renowned singer, Ms. Li Yan Ping and local renowned writer Mr. Cheng Zi Yue have come to grace the event.

2014 – Early Intervention Programme

The team for special needs children introduced Early Intervention Programme (EIP) on 3rd March 2014, this plan introduced an education programme specially designed for the special needs children who are receiving treatment at Sau Seng Lum Paediatric Rehabilitation Centre, it also meant to prepare the children for their future formal education.

2014 – The Great Wall of Buddha - Shrine of the Medicine Buddha

On 10th September 2014, Sau Seng Lum has built The Great Wall of Buddha - Shrine of the Medicine Buddha in the Sau Seng Lum Puchong Exhibition Centre. This prayer hall displays the gathering of Medicine Buddha, The Seven Medicine Buddhas, Eight Bodhisattva and Twelve protectors in eastern lapis lazuli, it looks stunning and magnificent, in purifying the mind of all.

2014 – Shurangama Mantra & Ten Small Mantras

Sau Seng Lum (PJ) Buddhist Temple had crafted the sacred Shurangama Mantra & Ten Small Mantras on 10th September 2014. According to the text of sutra, Shurangama mantra is the king of mantra among all the mantras. It has magnificent and auspicious power, once the Shurangama Sutra is recited, it symbolises the continual existence of real dharma. Shurangama Sutra thus said : Once all Buddhas from ten directions chant the Shurangama mantra, all the inner demons and non dharmic teachings will be tamed and pacified.

2018 – Eighty Eight Buddhas

On 3rd February 2018, Sau Seng Lum initiated and installed 88 solemn and dignified statues of Eighty Eight Buddhas. Eighty Eight Buddhas comprised of fifty three Buddhas and thirty five Buddhas. The fifty three Buddhas are the past Buddhas in the Saha World. The thirty five Buddhas are the Buddhas in all the ten directions. These Eighty Eight Buddhas can preside over the repentance by all beings. Therefore all visitors are welcome to the Eighty Eight Buddhas Luminious Hall to chant The Great Eighty Eight Buddha Repentance Script, to sincerely ask Eighty Eight Buddha’s blessing and to repent for whatever wrongs that one has done. It has excellent effects and clears all retributions of unwholesome karma.

2016 till present – Looking Towards the Future

Charity Medical  -  Non-Profit Sau Seng Lum International School (Special Education)

It was a milestone for Sau Seng Lum in the year of 2016. Besides the ongoing promotion efforts of the charity medical services, it also contributes in the field of education, to build a school that combines rehabilitation treatment and formal education for the special needs children despite their races.

This plan aims to work together with the family members of the special needs children, to provide quality rehabilitation treatment support and education. Despite different religions and races, this plan aims to provide equal education opportunity to the special children for them to cultivate their inner ability.

Sau Seng Lum is in the midst of raising fund for the building of the non-profit Sau Seng Lum International School (Special Education) and aspires to realize this project within the expected timeframe.

Cultural Education

In following the footstep of the Buddha in the spirit of Compassion and Wisdom, Sau Seng Lum continues to practise the qualities of Devotion, Aspiration and Action, and promote Charity, Medical, Culture and Education. It builds the intimate connection with modern people with skillful means, and promotes dharma in life. In future, Sau Seng Lum will continue to promote education, cultures and dharma. It will continue to promote relevant activities and make available a sanctuary for spiritual practice. Most importantly, it will continue to spread dharma for the peace of human and society.
